What to buy
What do you need to play A2 with [RIP]?
BI have done a fairly good comparison and avaiable packages, which can be found here.
So what does that mean?
It looks like the best way to get into the game is to buy ARMA 2 and ARMA 2: Reinforcements which should give you everything you need for MP, but you loose some SP aspects.
If you want SP and MP then the best way is you need to buy ARMA 2: Combined Operations and ARMA 2: Reinforcements.
If you buy reinforcements when you install you must select the Install only BAF and PMC option (ensuring you have the other parts installed) or if that doesn't work download the setup utility here.

Patch Installation
Rusty In Places uses the latest official patch for ArmA2. It can be downloaded from the official ArmA2 website or by clicking this link.

Mods
Our PvP server is completely stock for clients and does not allow any mods.
Our CO-OP server is running with no required mods although we do allow some mods such as CBA, STHUD and some other addons, see link below for more information.
For those mods that are not signed we have signed them for use on our server with the keys available through our AddonSync.
To download the mods we use AddonSync for all mods/maps.

Download our mods and launch game using SIX Updater
SIX Updater is used to download our addons and launch ArmA 2.
It is a tried and tested tool we are using to stay up to-date with the Rusty In Places gameserver for all of our mods.
This guide outlines how to install and use the SIX Updater tool to update your Arma 2 game so you can play on the clan server.
German to English Language Mod (Optional)
For those that wish to convert their German language game to English please see this page.
- This mod is optional.
- We have people in the clan who bought the German version of ArmA 2 and need to convert it to English.
- If your copy is already in English then skip this step!
Troubleshooting
Patch version pop-up
If after an upgrade to a patch version you are getting a pop-up saying an older version patch is available to download then try using the parameter in your startup line -noPatchCheck
Game Crashing
If your game is crashing randomly then you could try using the parameter in your startup line -exThreads=1
